About the Founder
Who the heck is Douglas Brown?
Fair question.
Honestly, I'm still figuring that out myself. What I do know is this: I love everything about hunting. The off-season training. The prep. The grind. The discipline. The part that hurts and the part that heals. All of it.
I've spent more than 25 years building software that solves real problems. Now I'm taking those skills and aiming them squarely at something that matters deeply to me: creating a platform and a set of tools that help hunters stay capable, stay sharp, and stay in the game as we age.
Because here's the truth — I've had to rewrite my own story.
Two hip replacements and a knee replacement have made me an unwilling expert in pain, adaptation, and starting over. At 62, I'm running a personal experiment: can I continue to hunt strong, move well, and stay capable better than I thought possible? The answer so far is "yes… if I stop lying to myself about aging and start doing the work."
Most hunting spaces ignore the reality that staying physically capable gets harder in our 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond. The Hunter's Mindset won't.
We'll talk about what actually changes — and what you can do to fight back against decline.
We'll learn from hunters who are still getting it done.
We'll build a place where you don't have to pretend you're still 25.
My commitment to this community is simple:
Fill the gap. Tell the truth. Build tools that help all of us make better decisions — in the woods and in our lives.
Because hunting isn't something you age out of.
It's something you grow into.
